This is me, Flor, the creative behind Florflai, lost in some waterfall in Vietnam.
I can’t remember a time when I wasn’t drawing, painting, getting my hands into clay, or trying to make something out of nothing.
I’m deeply passionate about making in every sense of the word. Over the past 10+ years as a graphic designer, I’ve developed skills across branding, UX/UI for apps and websites, editorial design and advertising.
These days, my focus is on letters, always my favourite part of design. In letterforms you’ll find geometry and maths, but also humanity, optical balance, tactility and a whole lot of care.
To me, adventure isn’t just about heading to the mountains with a backpack. It’s about moving beyond what’s expected; thinking big and breaking the mould, both in design and in how you move through the world.

Design exists to communicate something. I’ve no interest in chasing trends, because anything that flies by is just as quickly forgotten. I’d rather create from what is real, what lasts, and what carries weight.
Understanding where the shapes and strokes we create come from matters deeply to me, especially in the world of letters. When we know and acknowledge their origins, we can create with more meaning.

I started my Graphic Design degree in Córdoba, Argentina (UBP), and finished it in Santiago, Chile (UDP), in 2013 (I think).

After five years working in agencies, I moved to Europe at 26 and worked in-house for big brands as a designer and art director.

These days, Florflai is my full-time creative project: a growing world of lettering, typefaces and digital resources, all made by me.
